Español: Diseñada por Ventura Rodríguez y decorada con esculturas de Alfonso Giraldo Bergaz, que realizó los tritones y la sirena, y de Antonio Primo, que hizo los amorcillos y la alcachofa. Fue construida en 1781 y ubicada en las inmediaciones de la Puerta de Atocha, desde donde fue trasladada en el año 1880 por el arquitecto José Urioste y Velada a su actual emplazamiento en el ángulo sudoeste del estanque.
La fuente está realizada en piedra caliza, siendo la alcachofa de granito. Consta la fuente de dos cuerpos, el inferior con tritones sosteniendo el escudo de Madrid y el superior con cuatro putti y encima la alcachofa que le da nombre, todo ello en el centro de un pilón circular. Tras la reforma de la Glorieta de Atocha se ha colocado en ella una reproducción en bronce de la original.
