Description
English: The U.S. Navy Allen M. Sumner-class destroyer USS Lyman K. Swenson (DD-729)s forward 12.7 cm/L38 (5 in) guns firing at targets in Vietnam in 1965. The concussion from the firing shook loose rust everywhere on the ship and also made the paint come off the gun barrels, as one can see in the picture.
