Description
English: A new type of frozen dessert is being manufactured that is a sorbet based upon wine. It contains less than 5% alcohol yet captured all of the taste of the wine.

Frosae sorbae is the vehicle for many types of wine, ciders and liquors. The one base recipe freezes in both the alcohol and the taste, both of which evaporate deliciously with each spoonful. It is low calorie, utilizes the standard Italian ice, gelato and ice cream techniques and ingredients yet is unique and a new class of frozen dessert.

While similar to sherbert or sorbetto, Frosae is not meant for everyone. Sorbae is for adults. Sorbet is for kids. Shown in the photograph are the original three varieties of Frosae. The red is Merlot. The White is Riesling. The tan is Chocolate Merlot with chips of bittersweet chocolate.
