English: Image of a delegation come to see Republican presidential candidate William McKinley in Canton, OH, October 1896. The date is handwritten on the back. Also stamped on the back is "Luke C. Dillon,/formerly/photographer to/Army of Potomac/1861 to 1865. Findagrave says Luke C. Dillon died in 1904.
McKinley is the man just right of center, holding a top hat (the others all have a bowler). The image is from the McKinley Presidential Library and Museum, Canton, OH (Photo folder 1896 campaign #1) which asked for the following credit line: "Used by permission from The McKinley Presidential Library & Museum, Canton, Ohio." |
