Description
English: From the September 3, 1938 issue of the News and Observer:

"Charles H. Herring, assistant circulation manager, is a native of South Carolina but attended State College and came to The News and Observer after graduation delayed by war service. After four years, Herring left the paper to become business manager of another, but returned in his present capacity in 1934."
