On a sunny Sunday 29th July (sunny days have been rare this summer), I walked from Curbar Gap, down to Calver, along the river Derwent up to Grindleford, then up the hill onto w:Froggat Edge, and back along the edge. This picture is looking south-west over the Derwent valley, with a climber having just reached the top of one of the many pitches along this gritstone edge. |
