Summary
[edit]DescriptionFritchman Fights the Social Evil.jpg |
English: Harry K. Fritchman entered the 1911 race for mayor of Boise, Idaho, as a "dark horse candidate" when former mayor John Haines refused to run. Fritchman was elected mayor of Boise in 1911, serving one year. He was replaced by Arthur Hodges. Fritchman, a Republican, promoted stern measures to limit the number of saloons and to end prostitution, and he believed that school age children should not be allowed outside at night without a chaperone. |
