Description
Deutsch: Der Friedensengel in München wurde errichtet am rechten Ufer der Isar an der Luitpoldbrücke. Das Monument wurde gestiftet von der Stadt München anlässlich der 25-jährigen Wiederkehr des Friedensschlusses von Versailles 1871. Der Friedensengel steht in der Achse der Prinzregentenstraße vor einer breiten Treppenanlage. Die schlanke Säule mit dem vergoldeten 6 m hohen Engel ist auf der quadratischen Halle mit Karyatiden angeordnet. Bauzeit 1896 - 1899.
