The Great Northern Railway opened its station at Friar Gate in Derby on 1st April 1878. This station was closed on 4th September 1967. I photographed this bridge, which carried the Great Northern Railway over Friar Gate and into the station, gone now, but once on the left of the picture, on 13th January 2002.
