English: Frenches Wharf Greenfield This is the new marina which is being built alongside the Huddersfield Narrow Canal on the left at Frenches Wharf in Greenfield.
The former Wellington Mill site will include a pub, restaurant, a small Tesco store and up to 100 "luxury homes". Moorings for up to 18 boats will be provided in the marina, as well as service facilities for visiting boats using the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. The marina was fenced off until the new Kingfisher pub-restaurant opened early in 2009. http://www.penninewaterways.co.uk/news/news50.htm |
