Summary

[edit]
Description French warships off Toulon, France, circa 1931-1934. The closest ship (at right) is a destroyer of the 1500-tonne L'Adroit-class, wearing identification number 114, probably Fougueux. At left is a 2400-tonne class destroyer wearing identification number 3 (either Vauban or Albatros). The aircraft carrier Bèarn is in the center distance. Two heavy cruisers are partially visible, one beyond Bèarn's bow and the other in the right distance.
