Français : Vue de la chaloupe canonnière La Grandière sur le Mékong à Thieng Sen. Ce toponyme renvoie probablement aujourd'hui à Chiang Saen, district du nord de la Thaïlande bordant le Mékong. Sur des cartes françaises de l'époque coloniale, on trouve ce lieu sous le nom de Xieng Sen. La ville se trouve à la frontière du Laos et du Siam. Plusieurs bateaux français ont porté le nom de La Grandière, il s'agit ici probablement de la chaloupe qui a servi sur le Mékong entre 1893 et 1910, année où elle coule accidentellement. |
