Description
English: Town hall Döhlen, (subdivision of Freital), seen from the Windberg (1158 ft). On October 1, 1921 the communities Deuben, Doehlen and Potschappel signed a treaty merging into a new town, for which they adopted «Freital». 1952–1994 office of the district of Freital. 1994–2010 out of use. 2010–2012 reconstruction, which costed 2.4m €. Since 2012 office of the public housing association. In the foreground production premises of an injection press manufacturer. Revitalizing the area 2002–2011 with a go-kart track finally failed and the worn out buildings were pulled down.
Deutsch: Rathaus Döhlen; Blick vom 353 Meter hohen Windberg in Freital auf das Rathaus von Döhlen. Das Gebäude wurde 1914–1915 nach Plänen von Rudolf Bitzan errichtet. Am 1. Oktober 1921 wurde hier die Stadt Freital gegründet. 1952–1994 Sitz des Kreises Freital. Leerstand 1994–2010. Sanierung von 2010–2012 für 2.4 Mio €, davon 2.3 Mio € aus dem Bund-Länder-Programm "Stadtumbau Ost". Ab 2012 Sitz der Städtischen Wohnungsgesellschaft Freital. Im Vordergrund die Fabrikhallen des stillgelegten VEB Plastmaschinenwerk Freital. Versuchte Revitalisierung als "Windbergarena" mit einer Kartbahn von 2002 bis zum Abbruch 2011.
