| Description |
English: This is a photograph looking south southeast from Eastside Park in Yorba Linda over the SAVI Ranch Center in Yorba Linda about 45 seconds after the Freeway Complex Fire jumped the 91 Freeway from the Santa Ana Riverbed. The entire hillside in the City of Anaheim was a wind driven blaze in seconds. The east end of the Cascade Apartment Complex can be seen just right of the flames. The apartments seen here were destroyed by the fire minutes after this was taken despite the best efforts of the helicopters above. CDF Helitack 305 out of Prado-PDO is the helicopter in the photo on final approach to the helistop they were using to refill with water along the riverbed. |
