| Description |
English: The main house of Kenmore Plantation was built in 1775-1776. It was the center of a plantation of 1,300 acres (580 ha) owned by Fielding Lewis. His wife was Betty Washington Lewis, George Washington's younger sister. This is the only remaining building of the plantation. George Washington lived in Ferry Farm, across the Rappahannock River from Fredericksburg, Kenmore is now in the city of Fredericksburg. |
