Frederick William Schumacher(9/13/1863-6/4/1957) came to the US in 1873 and was treasurer of Behrens Drug Co. 1889-1897. He was head of advertising for the Peruna Drug Company and married Samuel B. Hartman's daughter, Mirabel in 1895. Frederic was a great patron of the arts, president of the Columbus Gallery of Fine Arts 1904-1923, and founder of the Schumacher Gallery at Capital University. |
