Description
English: 2. The St. John's Church with fittings at the corner of the Schnurgasse (Line Lane) and Fahrgasse (Drive Lane) facing the yet standing Bay House „zum Würzburger Eck“ (Würzburg Corner), in the Middle Ages „Kircheneck“ (Church Corner). Both the church and the commandery house and yard situated behind it were property of the Order of Saint John who settled here at the end of the 13th century. After being used as a salesroom for years the church was torn down in 1872.
