The photograph shows the ruin wall of a former roman-catholic church on a hill called "Frankenberg" (mountain of the Franks) in the community of Langenstein, Austria. This ruin is a monument that reminds to the extermination of approx. 300 protestants who fled into this church by Upper Austrian state troops on May 12, 1636. |
