One of two diaries written by Franz "Frank" Xavier Zehringer, a young German-American cabinetmaker who immigrated to Indianapolis, Indiana when he was a small child. At the end of the diary, there are copies of a letter from Hanna and one written to her; a clipping of a poem or song; a list of people's names; "memorandum of the weddings of friends at the c[h]urch"; accounts of money received and spent; and monthly pay received from working at S.
