Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Built between 1927 and 1930, this Renaissance Revival-style tower was designed by Keene and Simpson, and was part of a larger building that was demolished for a newer Postmodern-style building in the early 1980s. The building stands 14 stories tall, and was originally connected to a six-story building that wrapped the tower to the east and north, which was constructed as the headquarters of the Phillips Petroleum Company. The building was the first high-rise structure to be constructed in Bartlesville, and was added during the construction of the Phillips Building building during construction, after the Waite Petroleum Company merged with the Phillips Petroleum Company. The building today has been preserved as a relic of the original Phillips Building, and sits alongside its Postmodern-style replacement and a large pedestrian plaza.
