Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Frank J. Bornhauser, originally from Texas, purchased the first home site in Upper Arlington. Mr. Bornhauser stated that he purchased his home at 1722 Bedford Road as a result of a dare from King Thompson. Mr. Bornhauser lived in the home with his wife Lily Ford Bornhauser, his mother-in-law Mrs. Sarah Ford, and his son Jack Ford Bornhauser. The home was built in 1915 with an addition and interior remodeling completed in the summer of 1918. An avid sportsman, Mr. Bornhauser was the captain of The Crabs baseball team and played golf left-handed. He was employed by the Federal Garment Company of Canton, Ohio handling sales.
