Description
English: Thua Thien Province, South Vietnam. 1969-05. The Frank Doezema Jr Compound at Hue, the headquarters for Allied advisers to Vietnamese units in the area of 1st Corps. SP-4 Doezema died of wounds received in defence of the compound in 1968-01. The memorial in the centre foreground also has the Rising Sun insignia and a plaque to commemorate Australian Army advisers who have died in the area.
