English: Black and white photograph of textile artist Françoise Grossen standing next to a section of her weaving "Inch Worm". Image from the catalog for the exhibition "Sculpture in Fiber," held January 27 - April 2, 1972 at the Museum of Contemporary Crafts in New York City, New York. "Sculpture in Fiber" featured the work of 12 fiber artists whose works were created entirely without a loom, and instead utilized knotting, macrame, braiding, plaiting, knitting, twining, wrapping, crochet, and basketry, to construct self-supporting sculptures. Published by the American Craft Council, 1972, with no copyright notice. Source: https://digital.craftcouncil.org/digital/collection/p15785coll7/id/2981/rec/1 |
