Description
English: Dr. Francisco Santiago, center, foremost composer of serious music in the Philippine Islands, saved this rare piece of music from destruction during the Japanese occupation of Manila. It is examined by Irving Berlin, right, who is there to personally present his new song "Heaven Watch the Philippines" to the Philippine people, and by Dr. Herbert Zipper, left, conductor of the Manila Symphony Orchestra, who is writing a symphonic arrangement for the new song, dedicated to Philippine freedom.
