Description
English: Günther Oettinger, Member of the EC in charge of Digital Economy and Society and Carlos Moedas, Member of the EC in charge of Research, Science and Innovation, went to Portugal where they attended the ICT 2015 event, which took place in Lisbon.On the first day of the event, Günther Oettinger had a meeting with Pedro Passos Coelho, Portuguese Prime Minister. He then attended the opening plenary of the ICT 2015 event, delivering a speech on this occasion, in the presence of Aníbal Cavaco Silva, President of Portugal, Nuno Crato, Portuguese Minister for Education, Francine Closener, Luxembourgish Secretary of State for Economy, Defence and Internal Security, President in office of the Council, Zoran Stančič, Deputy Director-General of the Communications Networks, Content and Technology DG of the EC (DG CNECT), and Hans-Olaf Henkel, Member of the EP.Carlos Moedas took part in the plenary session organized on the second day of the event, and subsequently made a tour of the different stands at the ICT 2015 event, in the company with Nuno Crato.
