1901 Oeuvre de François-Rupert Carabin (1882-1952) Plâtre teinté sur socle en bois Collection particulière Selon le cartel de l'exposition, cette oeuvre peu connue de Carabin montrant une femme tenant une pieuvre la gueule ouverte, évoque les obsessions de la société 1900 vis à vis du corps féminin, omniprésent dans les arts visuels, alors qu'il règne à cette époque une profonde misogynie. Carabin est un artiste étonnant qui, lui aussi, a beaucoup représenté le corps féminin mais de manière toujours inattendue et en soulignant la musculature de ses modèles (ou de son modèle) comme aucun autre artiste art nouveau ne l'a fait.
