Summary
[edit]DescriptionFramed Can.jpg |
English: The Old Well at the corner of Philip Lane and High Road Tottenham is part of Tottenham's history. A reminder of when the area was mainly rural and drinking water was supplied by wells and pumps.
Walking past on 2 March 2012, my eye was drawn to the flash of gold in the "eye" of the metal railing. Liz Ixer and I have swapped photos and ideas about an apparently misdirected "impulse" to tidiness. Although not tossing litter on the street, people take trouble to leave it in nooks and corners and improvised "containers". Which raises the question of if and how they might be "nudged" a little further to put it in a litter/trash bin. Or even to recycle it. ═══════════════════════════ Photo in Containers / Improvised bins album ═══════════════════════════ _____________________________________ § Aerial view showing where I took these photos. § Liz Ixer's word pictures of a gallery of dumpers. |
