Description
English: Fragment of Post Medieval, 15th-17th century, ceramic costrel, with reb fabric and clear glaze AD.1400-1700. The fragment consists of the vessel spout and pierced carry lugs. It has been manufactured in a red oxidised fabric with no visible inclusions. One side of the vessel has been glazed with a clear glaze that has hints of green. The other side of the vessel is undecorated. The lugs upon either side of the spout have been pierced through to allow a cord to be passed through so that the vessel can be carried.
