Fragment of D-shaped buckle
Description
English: Fragment of a cast, copper-alloy, single-looped, D-shaped buckle of probable 12th to 14th C. AD date. The only remaining elements of the original buckle are the loop and a small piece of the plate. The loop measures 13.7mm high by 12.6mm wide and 1.3mm thick. It has three moulded knobs and two horizontal ribs on its outer edge, but no pin rest. The bar is offset and has a small remnant of the folded buckle plate attached. The object weighs 1.06g.
