Description

As Fragas do Eume (Galiza) é un parque natural galego creado o 30 de xullo de 1997[1] e que abrangue 9.126 hectáreas[2] nas beiras do río Eume, concretamente nos concellos de Cabanas, A Capela, Monfero, Pontedeume e As Pontes de García Rodríguez, todos eles da provincia da Coruña.

O bosque tradicional atlántico conservouse na zona en todo o seu esplendor, sendo consideradas as fragas como un dos mellores bosques atlánticos termófilos do continente europeo[4]. Malia ser a flora a alfaia das Fragas, existindo raras especies de felgos que habitaban a terra hai millóns de anos, tamén destacan algunhas especies animais endémicas e en perigo de extinción, dende pequenos anfibios e réptiles, como a saramaganta, ata especies maiores, como o lobo ou diversas aves de rapina.
