Calvin Barker, Headquarters platoon, Fox Troop, 2nd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany, perform pre-combat checks and inspections on the optical and night sites for Barker’s M4 rifle prior to convoy roll-out at Smardan Training Area, Romania. The 2/2 CR is currently involved in training for Operation Wind Spring, a multi-national operation conducted with British and Romanian troops and a critical component in Atlantic Resolve, South.
