Summary

[edit]
Description We drove off of busy Interstate 70 to view the1828 S bridge along the old National Road (US40) just west of New Concord in Guernsey County, Ohio. S bridges were built as the shortest way to cross creeks. In the olden days the S route didn't slow down horse-pulled vehicles or old cars.
