The heliostats: flat mirrors with a total surface of 2,835 square metres reflect the sunlight to the great parabolic mirrror. The correct adjustment is done with computer programs.
The tower: contains the absorber (625 square centimetres) in the focal point of the parabolic mirror, in which the sunlight is concentrated. In the focal point temperatures of more than 3,500° Celsius can be reached.
The parabolic mirror: with a surface of about 2,000 square metres, this mirror collects the sunlight reflected by the heliostats and concentrates it on the focal point in the tower.
