Description The Foundress' Cup bequeathed to Christ's College, Cambridge by Lady Margaret Beaufort in 1507. Finely engraved in silver-gilt and embossed with sprays of oak, rose and vine leaves, the interior of the cup is enamelled with the arms of Humphrey, Duke of Gloucester, impaling the arms of his second wife, Eleanor Cobham. The cup dates from 1435-1440 and was originally made for Humphrey.
