DescriptionFossil Vertebra- Hell Creek.JPG |
English: A small, elongated vertebra (see rock-hammer head for approximate scale) found on the surface of the Hell Creek Formation in Harding County, South Dakota. The overall-shape suggests it might be a fish bone. Each year, wind water erosion brings countless fossils to the surface. With time, these slowly erode into dust. |
