English: Forty-one bales of cocaine are stacked on a pier beside the medium endurance cutter USCGC Vigorous (WMEC 627) in Port Everglades, Fla., Nov. 15, 2013. Coast Guardsmen transported the cocaine after two interdictions carried out as part of Operation Martillo. Martillo is a joint, interagency and multinational collaborative effort to deny transnational criminal organizations air and maritime access to the littoral regions of the Central American isthmus. |
