| Description |
English: Terryland Castle, a fortified house, Galway This fortified house would have been built at a strategic crossing point of the River Corrib (behind), in the narrow gap between Lough Corrib and the sea. Today it is ruins, clearly visible from the Galway ring road. It is fenced off but appears to be having some protection work on it. |
