| Description |
English: Forth Railway Bridge, from South Queensferry. View northward across to Fife, the ex-NB railway over the Bridge being the main line to Dundee and Aberdeen from Edinburgh and Glasgow, also (forking left at Inverkeithing) to Dunfermline and Perth. The Bridge is so enormous that from this distance a train would be barely visible. Back in 1948 there is no road bridge and road vehicles used the ferry, from the pier seen in front of the bridge. Behind the south main pier of the bridge is the Isle of Inch Garvie. |
