English: Battery A, 5th Battalion, 25th Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division fires the 21 gun salute during the Memorial Day ceremony at Fort Polk’s Warrior Memorial Park on May 22, 2014. “On Memorial Day we pause to remember the Soldiers who have come before us. One can walk the battlefields of Bunker Hill, Yorktown, Bull Run, Shiloh, Gettysburg, Chancellorsville and more. You can walk the fields and forests of central and southwest Louisiana, where the Louisiana Maneuvers occurred, where Soldiers trained for World War II and Korea, and remember the sacrifices of those who came before,” said Brig. Gen William Hickman.
