Summary

Description

Canoeing is a great activity to enjoy at the Fort Niobrara River, it flows eastward across the refuge for 9 miles, cutting deep canyons into the limestone rocks that underlies the Sandhills. Canoeing is encouraged spring through fall at the refuge!
