English: Looking east across the site of Fort McIntosh, located along the Ohio River at Beaver, Pennsylvania, United States. The first United States Army on the northern banks of the Ohio, the fort's site was rediscovered by archaeologists in the twentieth century and converted into a park. Lines of stones, such as the one in the middle of the foreground, are parts of the original foundation. Under the name of Fort McIntosh Site, the park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is also a part of the Beaver Historic District, which is also listed on the Register. |
