| Description |
Fort Furggels has four heavy bunker guns of caliber 15 cm. After the change to private ownership, only number 1 was mounted so that it is visible from the outside. The path along the outside to number 2, 3 and 4 has not been maintained since then and the access is difficult today because all is overgrown and partially slipped down. This and the following photos of the guns 3 and 4 were made at a time when the access was still possible. The bunker guns have a side clearance of 30 m and are all aligned to the north. Number 2 in this picture has been assembled but is <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/kecko/27842313562/">parked</a> in the gun bunker. St. Margrethenberg, Switzerland, May 3, 2013. |
