Summary

[edit]
Description
English:  : The old clockwork (1771),-originally was the tower clock of the local parish church of Mary Magdalene,- was erected in a glasshouse in the square in front of the Sándor Hevesi Theater. The structure renovated by the watchmaker József Preisz and the technician Miklós Kancsal. All of its gears, springs, pendulums and spins are visible during operation, and the hanging weight of the watch hangs into a two meters deep cavity. The enamel clock face/dial was made by applied artist Ildikó Járási. The ceramic relief made by ceramicist János Németh. The so-called "floor-standing tower clock" is unique in the world with a 600-kilogram cast and bronze clockwork. The tower clock strikes every hour.
