Description

The demolition of the bus barn that formerly stood on this site, bounded by Clark, Drummond, and Schubert, created something you don't see very often: a vacant lot in Lake View.

The only reason it stayed vacant as long as it did is that neighborhood residents made sure they had full input as to building height, density and parking.

Looks like they got most of what they wanted -- no highrises here. In fact, it blends in seamlessly with the rest of this stretch of Clark Street.
