Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Former Primitive Methodist Chapel, Keyingham, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
In May 1823 a new Primitive Methodist Chapel was registered by George Willingham, blacksmith on the south side of Main Street in Keyingham. It was built in the form of a house so that if the project failed the building would be easier to sell. The project did not fail but when a larger chapel was erected on another site it was converted into two cottages and sold off. The building has since been turned into a single cottage and undergone extensive remodelling including the mock Tudor timber effect [information from 'Keyingham and its People - the Story of a Millennium' ISBN 0 9536486 0 5].
