Summary

[edit]
Description
English: After only 6 months McDonalds exited Barbados, and the building they built is now owned by an auto financing company. A number of factors caused the failure. Strong opposition by native Barbadian restaurants, and the usage of the word "burger" (known as a "Club Sandwich" in America) instead of "patty" cause suspicions of false advertising amongst Barbadians, eventually leading to a swift spurning and failure of the venture.
