In the middle of the demolished / cleared land at Longbridge is this former Signal Box or the Halesowen Railway. On this side the tracks appear to remain, but are blocked off at the end by those barriers. Is there a tunnel under there or is it blocked off? The signal box looks to be in a bad condition since the area around it was pulled down. It was part of the foremr Midland Railway. Near the former Longbridge Car Plant famous for making Austin's, Rover's, Mini's etc. For more see here What is left of the car plant is to the far right, where MG's are made by the Chinese owners. |
