Summary
[edit]DescriptionFormer Highgate Road station, Kentish Town (geograph 5265441).jpg |
English: Former Highgate Road station, Kentish Town The railway bridge carries the Gospel Oak - Barking route of the London Overground. This runs along the Tottenham & Hampstead Joint Railway, a line owned jointly by the Great Eastern Railway and Midland Railway which joined their two networks. On either side of the bridge, the bridge abutments can be seen extending to either side of the track to support the now-unused platforms. These were the high level platforms: off the left of the picture, lower level lines pass under the road and originally these also had platforms on them. |
