[edit]
Description
English: Former Drinking Fountain, Victoria Gardens. To the south of St Peters Church is this former drinking fountain. Inaugurated in 1871 as a public drinking fountain for humans and animals the obelisk is now a listed structure. The fountain was stopped long ago and the drinking troughs are now used as flower beds. The fountain marks the northern part of the current Victoria Gardens where the roads to Lewes and London diverge.
