Summary
[edit]DescriptionFormer Christ Church, Belfast - geograph.org.uk - 663140.jpg |
English: Former Christ Church, Belfast. Christ Church (CoI), at the corner of College Square North (left) and Durham Street, was built in 1833 to a design by William Farrell. It fell victim to the effects of the bombing campaign and eventually closed in 1993. It became a target for vandals and seemed a candidate for demolition. It has now been restored and incorporated into Inst 432368. As an aside the organ was saved too and is now in Queen's University http://dnausers.d-n-a.net/dnetzMNU/popco/christchurch.html. |
